NTRA, Inc., also known as Northern Tazewell Recreation Association, is a volunteer 501(c)3 non for-profit organization providing baseball, softball, t-ball, soccer and basketball to the children of the greater Washington, IL area. Over 500 players from several communities within the area participate annually in NTRA sports programs. Our goal through youth sports is to help develop the mental and physical well-being of the participants.

NTRA, Inc. was established in 1958 and continues to be a successful youth sports organization for many generations. NTRA, Inc. has seen former participants return as coaches and game officials interested in continuing to provide the same opportunities they experienced for today's youth. The various programs are open to children from ages 4-18. All of our programs are available for all children of any talent level through multiple registration dates throughout the year. All participants receive playing time without pressure of "making the team." Participants are taught that through good sportsmanship and fair play, competitive game play can occur while providing a fun, learning experience.

NTRA, Inc. strives to keep registration fees for the youth programs at a level to ensure that all children, regardless of their family assets or income, can participate.  To accomplish this, we rely on private contributions and donations, memorial gifts, sponsorships of teams and programs, United Way funds and fundraising to keep registration fees low for all participants. NTRA, Inc. also offers a scholarship program for those children who are not able to pay the registration fees.
